Read Mr. Balderas' Message About the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)

Dear Parents and Community Members,

 Annually, the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is administered to all 10^th graders in February and March and is a requirement for high school graduation. Day one covers English Language Arts with a writing component and day two covers mathematics.  The February 2015 administration will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd and Wednesday, February 4th.  This test is offered to all 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th graders on B, C and D track, but is most important to the 10^th graders.  This is their only opportunity to take the test during the school year.  Additionally, a high attendance rate and a proficient score of 380 will help the school achieve its Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) toward meeting federal guidelines as outlined by No Child Left Behind (NCLB). 

The test begins promptly at 7:30 AM both days, so please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and arrives at school early.  If you have any questions, please contact your child's counselor at (323) 832-4700.

 Annual, el California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) se ofrece en múltiples ocasiones durante el año escolar y es un requisito para la graduación de la escuela secundaria. El primer día cubre las Artes del Idioma Inglés con un componente de la escritura y las matemáticas de dos días cubre. La administración del examen del 2015 tendrá lugar el Martes, 3 de febrero y el miércoles, 4 de febrero. Esta prueba se ofrece a todos los alumnos del grado 10 º, 11 º y 12 º en los carriles B, C y D, pero es más importante para los alumnos del grado 10. Esta es la única oportunidad de tomar el examen durante el año escolar. Además, un alto índice de asistencia y una puntuación de de 380 ayudará a la escuela alcanzar su progreso anual adecuado (AYP) hacia el cumplimiento de las pautas federales descritas por No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
