Sara’s Holiday Escape
Step out of your daily life into a graphic novel written in both Arabic and English by Bell High School’s 3rd Period D-track Drawing Class in partnership with heritage speakers in B-track Arabic classes. The novel involves two Middle Eastern girls who celebrate a traditional holiday called Eid. The girls share their heritage with Sara, a Hispanic girl who is afraid of staying with her uncle for the weekend. The three girls run away to spend the weekend together without Sara’s uncle finding out and this causes a lot of commotion.
