WOMEN'S WEEK EVENTS!

For Women's History Month, the Take Action Campaign with EduCare organized a week long activities to focus on important dates related to women's rights, achievements and equality. Students nominated teachers for "Models of Pride", wore hijabs in solidarity with Muslim women, told stories about famous women and at the end of the week students marched for empowerment! Below you can see the schedule of events that were held for the week:

Monday 3/27: Wear White Day - Models of Pride
Lunch: Kick Off (Students will be distributing white stashes to female teachers)

Tuesday 3/28: Hijab Day! Wear hijabs in solidarity with Muslim women.
East Quad Lunch: Hijab & Henna (Booth to raise awareness about wearing hijabs in solidarity with Muslim women)

Wednesday 3/29: Wear Pink- Know Herstory!
East Quad Lunch: Photo booth with famous women and Distribute Buttons

Thursday 3/30: Define Herstory!
Students will be writing down their future goals on post its. Banner to be hung at the entrance. Participants to receive " We can do it" buttons

Friday 3/31: Wear Red - Empowered women!
Lunch: March to Empower! - Meet in the East Quad
