alright first thing I need you to do is make sure you get your paper it's called news Prince When I want you to do first is up on the 10 Corner notice how the paper is in position it's vertical they're going to put your name  and the. what do you have that there and I want you to do some want you to take your paper folded in half never your paper was originally vertical go ahead and fold your paper in half  okay so you have two parts the top and bottom of this page number one so on the bottom corner I want you to write page one that you know this is Page One the top and bottom what was part of the same page which you're going to do is you're going to take your ruler that you all have and what you're going to do is you're going to start to measure on her since you're rude lights across because it's not long enough then what you going to do they're going to measure three times there measure one in the middle one of the left and one on the right so what you're going to do you're going to place your Rooter like so and you're going to measure 4 inches I'm doing this with the pan because I want you to be able to see it how does dark tape measure it out for sliding to the middle measure at 4th and Slide it over to the left side measure at 4 inches across and then we'll drive your three markings line them up from the center to the left in front of the center  to the right on page one we're going to do this only three times you're going to have one two three rows and nothing on the bottom through this again again we're going to start over here in the center laser ruler right on that original animated measure it at 4  go to the right measure at 4 do the same thing over here measure at 4 and just like you did before again line it up the last one you do not have to draw if you don't want to because the fold is already indicating where Madeline should be so our letters that we're doing for a better our practice is going to be taking place in the first three rows and what you're going to do what you're done these three rolls on page one they're going to go ahead and flip your paper over to the other side you do the same thing but this time instead of only having 3 rows we're going to have six rows so that way we can do our alphabet cuz that is a first part after we learn how to do who are letters we need to prove that all over letters can be done very well so what I'm doing here is that I'm measuring every four inches so when you start at the top please your Rooter you make the first Mark at 4 the next one should be that's right eight the next one should be 12 and it keeps going until you hit the bottom this shouldn't take a whole lot of time but it seems  that people this incorrectly so as long as your paper is in the vertical format you should be fine  Anna make sure to connect them because all your letters should be the same height and so maybe this is the back of the page so there's our here at the bottom you're right change to okay to page one a couple of things we need to do first first thing we need to do and then we're going to get two pieces of cardboard Brina get an orange piece of cardboard take that this is the orange one the same one this is 1 in wide this is what I want you to do is take the one in and what we're going to do is Oregon a measure in chips  so why don't you two take a look  pleasure right on zero which is right up against the edge  I want you to take your pencil and Market with an arrow like so I right underneath that I want you to write the letter S stands for standard I means that from here to the arrow it is 3 inches and so what you're going to do with that is that you're going to go ahead  and start making boxes for each letter so what you going to do is it going to start here on the edge archaic where the actors with the arrow do the same thing at the top  and connected we're going to make a space change once we're going to use the orange one  to make the space in between the space we're going to ride the word space because I don't want you to confuse that for one of the letters and we do the same thing again  put a little Mark at the beginning and at the end user guide has a turn  that's the next box so what are we put after this just like we did before we put a space and then we do the same thing again so I'm not going to do all of them or what I want Zoo  they want you to make six boxes box 1 Box 2 Box 3 space until you get six boxes and then we'll go from there before today I think that's all we're going to have time for so again review page one they're only going to do three rows and then on the back on page two you're going to do six rows you go back to page one make your boxes all the same size with the space in between that's it
