ALPHA students complete and submit artifacts through their CTE Graphic Design, English 11, and Homeroom courses in their attempt to earn the Work Ready Badge. Through our Work Readiness Program, students learn how to explore potential careers, identify their Support Networks, fill out a Job Application, create a Resume, and write a Cover Letter. They submit these artifacts, and if they are successful, they are eligible for a Mock Interview. Through our Junior Homerooms, students learn Financial Literacy through our Everfi online curriculum.
After successful completion and submission of their Support Network, Resume, and Cover Letter, students earn an Internship Ready Certificate. Students who earn the Internship Ready Certificate are eligible to apply for a district-sponsored internship with one of many district partners.
Students who successfully earn the Internship Ready Badge, pass the Mock Interview and earn the Everfi Financial Literacy certificate will be granted the Work Ready Badge.
Our ALPHA students have participated in district-sponsored internships with Beyond the Bell as well as on-campus internships with other CTE Teachers.
