Welcome to ALPHA at Bell High School

Mission & Vision
ALPHA is a Linked Learning Pathway that focuses on Branding and Graphic Design. ALPHA students are placed in grade level cohorts and have access to AP, Honors, Athletics, and CTE courses. Our pathway includes 2 years of Graphic Design CTE courses that use computers to learn Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and prototyping software. All core pathway courses include technology and art to prepare students for creative careers.
We use Project Based Learning (PBLs) to connect core classes together. There is at least one interconnected PBL per grade. PBLs between classes mean that you might do research and writing in English class and then use that writing in another class for a different part of the same project.
ALPHA juniors complete a Work Readiness program to help prepare them for their career choices. ALPHA seniors complete a Senior Portfolio & Defense Presentation to collect, present, and defend their previous PBL work.
What is Graphic Design?
Graphic Design is how we use visual elements, such as typography, images, colors, and shapes, to communicate information visually or convey a message effectively.
